Can I Get Lived-In Color in One Appointment?
Short answer: it depends, and the honest answer is worth more than a quick yes. The real answer depends on where your hair is starting from and where you want it to end up.
When One Appointment Is Realistic
If your natural or current color is already fairly light, or you're looking for subtle dimension rather than a dramatic shift, one session is often enough. Custom color blocking that adds soft pieces around your face or through the ends can typically be done start to finish in a single visit.
When It Takes More Than One Visit
If you're coming from a dark natural color and want to reach a noticeably lighter, lived-in blonde, your hair may need more than one session to get there safely. This isn't a sales tactic. It's how hair actually works. Lightening too far, too fast, risks breakage and a texture that no toner can fix. A good colorist will tell you this upfront rather than push your hair past what it can handle in a single day.
The same is true if you're correcting box color, previous color-treated hair, or a color that's been chemically processed multiple times. Your hair's history matters as much as your goal.
Why We Won't Guess Over the Phone
You'll notice we don't quote a number of sessions before we've actually seen your hair. That's on purpose. Photos and phone descriptions only tell part of the story. Your colorist needs to see your natural color, your current color, your hair's texture and condition, and how it's responded to color in the past before mapping out a real plan.
What This Looks Like in Your Consultation
During your consultation, your colorist will look at your hair in person, talk through your goal, and tell you honestly whether you're looking at one session or a short series of appointments spaced a few weeks apart. Either way, you'll leave the consultation
