What Should I Expect at a Color Consultation?

A consultation is where every color appointment at Alchemy Park actually begins, whether it's your first visit or your tenth. Here's exactly what happens.

The Conversation Comes First

Before anyone touches your hair, your colorist talks with you about your goals, your hair's history, and your maintenance preferences. This includes any previous color, chemical treatments, and how much upkeep you actually want to commit to going forward.

Inspo Photos

Bring in your inspo photos. Your colorist looks at exactly what you're picturing and talks through what's realistic for your hair's current color, texture, and history, so you both land on a plan grounded in your actual hair.

An Honest Look at Your Hair

Your colorist examines your hair's current condition, thickness, and how it's responded to color in the past. This determines whether your goal is realistic in one session or needs to be built over a couple of visits, and you'll be told this honestly upfront.

What You'll Walk Away Knowing

By the end of your consultation, you'll know your exact price range, which stylist is right for your goal, whether you need one appointment or a short series, and a realistic maintenance schedule going forward. No guesswork, no surprises once you're in the chair.

Do You Need to Book Separately?

Consultations can happen as their own quick visit or as the start of your actual appointment, depending on how complex your goal is. Your colorist will let you know which makes sense when you book.
