What Should I Expect at My First Color Appointment?
Once your consultation is done and you're booked for your actual color service, here's what the appointment itself looks like from start to finish, including the small details that make it feel like more than just a color job.
Check-In and Getting Settled
You'll be greeted and settled in, and offered a drink, water if that's what you want, but most guests opt for a mimosa or our seasonal mimosa. Your stylist will do a quick recap of the plan from your consultation to make sure nothing's changed. Need to work through your appointment? We've got phone chargers and a lap desk on hand, so answering emails or finishing a work call doesn't mean putting your life on hold for three hours.
The Color Application
This is the longest part of your visit. Your colorist applies your custom color blocking based on your consultation plan, whether that's hand-painted pieces, foils, or a blend of both. Processing time varies depending on your starting color and goal. And because we don't double book, your stylist is genuinely with you the entire time, not splitting attention between you and someone else in the next chair.
Toning and Rinsing
Once your color has processed, you're rinsed and toned in our lay-back, relaxing shampoo bowls, built to take the strain out of your neck instead of the awkward crane-your-neck-forward setup you'll find elsewhere. Toning is the step that neutralizes any unwanted warmth and gets you to the exact tone you discussed at your consultation.
The Blow Dry Finish
Every color service ends with a full blow dry, so you're leaving styled and finished, not walking out the door with wet hair.
After You Leave
You'll get an email afterward with your home care information, so you're not trying to remember everything your stylist told you in the chair. It's there as a reminder whenever you need it, along with when to book your next refresh.
